working principle

The weight of gate valve can be divided into wedge gate valve and parallel gate valve according to the configuration of sealing surface. Wedge gate valve can also be divided into single gate pole double gate plate type and elastic gate plate type. Parallel gate valve and gate valve can be divided into single gate plate type and double gate plate type. When the valve rod gate valve is closed, the sealing surface can be sealed only by medium pressure, which can press the sealing surface of the gate towards the valve seat on the other side to ensure the sealing surface, which is self sealing. Most gate valves adopt forced sealing, that is, when the valve is closed, the gate shall be forced to the valve seat by external force to ensure the tightness of the sealing surface.

The gate of the gate valve moves in a straight line with the valve stem, which is called lifting rod gate valve (also known as rising rod gate valve). Usually, there are trapezoidal threads on the lifting rod, which pass through the nut at the top of the valve and the guide groove on the valve body. Change the rotary motion into linear motion, that is, change the operating torque into operating thrust.

When opening the valve, when the lifting height of the ram is equal to 1:1 times of the valve diameter, the fluid channel is completely unblocked. However, in order to consider the locking phenomenon in the fully open position, it is usually used as the position of the fully open valve when it is opened to the peak position and turned back 1 / 2-1 turn.
